A good planning process should include research from several sources – from your members, non-members, other sector influencers, thought leaders, what is happening in the membership industry and also your own staff.
To help you easily incorporate the collective intelligence and insights from your own staff, you now have a new tool available.
CleaView is a staff ‘perception’ audit about what you are doing well, and what areas need attention.
It gives you an invaluable internal perspective on where some of your strengths and opportunities are.
It works like this:
Staff are asked about their agreement with 82 positive statements regarding various aspects of membership activity on a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree).
This is converted to an average score and grouped according to area of activity.
A low score is an indication that staff feel attention is required; a high score indicates that the perception is the association is doing well in that area.
Simple. It saves you time, you get better results and it’s quick.
The key is knowing the right questions to ask. That is where Sue has drawn on her many years of experience working with membership organisations, and her early career in market research. That is where the real value lies. It will save you hours and hours of thinking time about what to ask and how to analyse the information.
You will also get honest and frank answers. Having an externally managed survey, which guarantees anonymity, means people are more likely to say what they really think.
The on-line questionnaire is ready and waiting for you to use.
